So in my '06 660, which is bored/stroked to 720, hot rod cam, etc etc... Clutch engagement is really high, like it wants 4500-5000+ to get moving. Clutch isn't slipping, it's just like it's got a really high stall converter. Running on 30s. On one hand I realize that with all the motor work it's got a high RPM powerband, and with the big tires it helps to launch in its sweet spot. At the same time, compared to a stock one on the dyno it makes WAY more torque all across, so I don't see any reason to have to spin it up so high all the time. I mostly trail ride and above anything else it's just annoying. NO dunes. I've also noticed that it doesn't seem to have much top speed either, it's almost like it won't let the secondary open up all the way. Of course I can't remember at this point a year after doing the motor what spring was is in, but I feel like maybe 14 weights and a gold or white spring. For what I want to do now maybe heavier weights and less spring? I know this is constantly hashed out but it seems like it's usually guys wanting more RPM, and I want less, so trying to get a bearing on where to go.
