I just purchased a used 2009 Rhino 700 Special Edition. Yesterday I took it out to see how fast I could get it up to. It topped out at 37 mph? Its on 26 inch Terracross tires, but I figured with the other add-ons it has, it should have been better than 37. It's already got the following:
- Yoshimura RS-8 Muffler
- Wiseco FI2000 Fuel Controller
- K&N Filter
I still have to check the fuel controller to see if it is at the base settings or has been modified, but I figured that may be the first adjustment made. Now I hope somebody can straighten me out. What is the difference between adding a Fuel Controller and changing out the CDI box? Can you do both, and what does each do for you?
I mostly ride mountain trails at my camp, so I have both steep rocky trails and wide open roadways where I can get some speed. I don't really need to do 60, but it would be nice to know I can keep up with my son on my 02 Grizzly 660 which tops out at 64 mph.
