Owned and beat on for about a year now
I too was torn between the larger engines,I was gonna make a note and buy a new rhino 700,polaris ranger 800 or the kawasaki teryex
But while at the yamaha dealer I cruised the local craigslist and found a lightly used 2006 450 with front rack, winch and factory tires with 95% tread left for
Radio and waterproof speaker set
$4000
I snatched it up for $3250
My neighbor owns a 660 and a guy down the street owns a 700fi
We all have mud tires
I run itp 589 in 26x12x10 and 26x12x12
The 660 runs 26" itp xtr
700 runs 28" outlaws
I can honestly say I can keep up with both of them in low gear mud
They are faster than me but I don't mind
I like to crawl thru mud
The outlaws can go a lil deeper than I can but I find I spin my 26's great
I have 1.5mm shim in the clutch
Next mod is weighted wet clutch
Just wanted to report that I'm extremely happy with my lil 450
We have slop with no bottom
Thick clay mud holes
