Rhino Axle Nuts

I'm replacing my wheel bearings again and the axle nuts are shot. The area that is hammered down to keep them from turning is all tore up. I have used chisels in the past to bend the metal flange up out of the groove. Can I reuse the nuts with blue locktite ? If I have to get knew nuts will they last longer if I use an impact wrench to take them off and not use the hammer and chisel to bend the flange up?
