We got my new snorkel finished, but now we got a bad backfire. It went in to our garage for 2 tie rod ends and a spindle replacement back at the beginning of January. The same ride it got sunk up in a Creek really badly. Had to sit and let it drain about 45min but the oil was fine nothing in the engine. It was up in the drivers seat. It sat without being drove about 2-3 weeks, got everything fixed in the front, and started on the snorkel, and finished it last week so I dunno if gas is bad.
We connected 2" pipe from the top of the factory box, straight back, and up over my passenger side shoulder and dumped it down. It originally wouldn't run at all, gas and it would die, then we taped half of the pipe up and it ran better. Now it's idling good, starts off good, but when letting off throttle and idling down it back fires really bad one loud pop.
I put new tape on it when I got home because I wanted to paint the pipes so maybe I just haven't got it on there perfectly or something. I've replaced the air filter less than 50 miles ago but I've had it over a year and never changed the fuel filter.
