I have a 1987 Yamaha Virago xv1100.
My constant lights that are suppose to light up my license plate do not work, But when i press my brakes they work fine. Looked at the bulb and both bulbs look fine. Both wires inside the bulb are not broken. The Duel bulbs are Sylvania Long life 1187 bulbs. Even bought new bulbs and same issue. IF i am correct there are only 2 wires that come to the lights. Now as far as i know the way these bulbs work are there is a constant voltage that works the constant light. Then more voltage turns on the brighter part. Is there a box somewhere in the motorcycle? can anyone tell me what might be the issue? or is it something as simple as a fuse.
