Hey all, I purchased a Rhino brand new back in 2005. It ran flawlessly for 8 years. No one in my group had ever seen one and I was the hit of the campsite for at least a year. When I took the Rhino to the beach for the first time, my kids put 21 gallons of fuel through it in one weekend. I sprayed the entire frame with rubber paint, the stuff you use for tools and it has held up amazingly. Obviously, I couldn't spray the exhaust pipe and in 2012 it began disintegrating. My son welded it several times, but finally I put an aftermarket exhaust on it last year (2013). The Rhino immediately started backfiring and popping, so I just recently re-jetted it to a 155 main 45 pilot and changed the washers on the stock needle. (read the thread on jetting a rhino) Runs fantastic at idle up to about 25 or so, I will test the actual speed today with a GPS I think I am hitting the rev-limiter. So My plan is to get the larger air intake and I want to put a CDI on it. Would like to go 40mph or so. Kind of worried about making changes as this engine has thousands of miles on it easily. Any suggestions?
