Replacing rear Diff Axle seals
I have a 2005 Rhino 660 (purchased used, used hard) and while I am replacing many worn rear drive parts I want to replace the diff rear axle seals. Both parts and service manuals show a snap ring on the end of a male splined axle end that plugs into the ring gear shaft but no instructions about how to remove it. Reading some of the posts about axles coming out during running leads me to believe that the snap ring will compress under pressure allowing the axle stub to come out. Is this correct? I don't want to attempt this unless I know because I don't want to put enough pressure on it to damage something on the stub axle or inside the diff.

electrical issue in water?
So I have been trying to find anyone with this same issue and have not had any luck.
When going through deeper water around floorboard level rhino will start to miss like it's hitting the rev limiter but I believe it's losing spark due to a bad connection somewhere. I changed the coil and removed the fan. Its not bogging like it's out of power it will cut out and sometimes quit. when I do make it through the water it will sputter for a bit maybe 10 to 20 seconds until it dries out and will be fine after that not having any luck finding the problem or where the connection is. Hard to diagnose seeing how I have to be in 2 ft of water to duplicate the issue. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks Matt

Vapor lock or something else
I have an 07 660 with this problem
the first time it felt like it vapor locked ( temp was around 100 and we were climbing some good mnts. It would stop and we pulled the passenger seat let it cool off and did good as long as you were moving, if you slowed down or idled it would do it again. Felt the gas tank and was really hot, and no fuel in the filter, so I wrapped the tank with some thin insulation stuff hoping to fix the problem. Went out this week end and it worked good until this morning ( 60 degrees ) started acting like it was starving for fuel, but would run really ruff seating still, but not as soon as you let off the fuel, If we pulled the seat and the engine box looking around, we could put it all back together and it run great the rest of the day!!
Any ideas on what to check?

The Rhino makes 17" of travel up front and is strapped at 15" of travel in the rear. With Gorilla Axles 4130 CV Axles at all 4 corners.

SIRIUS PROFESSIONAL LED Light Bar Sale on AMAZON PRIME!
Hey RHINO Gang,
We've recently shipped some pallets of our SIRIUS PROFESSIONAL lights for fulfillment on AMAZON PRIME with free 2-day shipping.
We also put a MASSIVE discount on them for the time-being. The reason for this is that Amazon search engines favor sales of the products -- the more sold, the more visibility we get.
So we are partnering with you here to let you know that you can get some very high quality light bars that are not just some Chinese generic thing, but were developed here by our electrical engineer. And all our bars come with wiring harnesses.
SIRIUS PROFESSIONAL NOTES & PRICING
These match or exceed RIGID specifications at much better pricing. We have dealers taking large quantities of these and swear by them. The brigthness is CRAZY with the 5W.
Here's a video of a guy testing them on his Teryx. He said he used them later and could see a stop sign 8/10 of a mile away!
Get them here on AMAZON PRIME:
Click on the menus in the listing to pick your size. Here is the pricing:
1. 50" SIRIUS PROFESSIONAL: $539.99 (MSRP of $899.99) Save $360
2. 40" SIRIUS PROFESSIONAL: $535.19 (MSRP of $669). Save $125

SIRIUS SERIES
For those of you that like to have one of the value series light bars like a Totron or some of the Ebay generic stuff, you can also get one of our standard SIRIUS series lights -- meant to be best in class in that price category. And unlike the other lights, they come with wiring harnesses too! Totron charges around $40 for their harnesses.
The only one we currently have on Amazon PRIME is the 50" model for just short of $273.
You can get 10", 20", and 30" models directly from us here:

bypass starter relay???
The short of a the long story is that I bought a 2009 700 special edition rhino for a smoking deal because it was stolen twice and recovered both times. the thieves had ripper the ignition wires out of the key switch and hot wired it. it appears that they left the starter (Blue) wire attached to the rest (2 brown, one red) and burned the relay out. It popped the coil out the bottom once it got hot enough. I only paid a couple grand for the rig so fixing what damage they had done was really no big deal. Mostly normal things, axles, A arms, starter and relay etc. I have decided to not put a key on it and plan on using toggle switches with hidden master kill switches when left unattended in the bush. having it stolen from where I am now is very unlikely.
The problem is that the new relay won't fire the starter. I have checked all sensors and switches including the resistance on the relay and all things seem normal according the the Clymer manual I bought.
I can start the unit by connecting the starter directly to the positive termal on the battery and off I go. My question is, can I run a fused line from the battery directly to the starter with a momentary switch on the dash without any serious consequences? If so, what fuse, wire gauge and switch amp rating would be best?
