Rear end clunk when braking. It's not the brakes

How's it going guys trolled and searched the forum for a while finally found an issue I can't find in searches. I hve a 07 660 and I'm getting a clunking sound coming from the back when braking. It's not the rhino grunt from the brakes. I have done the Wd40 and it's definitely still there and loud. Easiest way to explain it is like a roller coaster going up before the drop. I have video just trying to upload it.

I talked to a friend of a friend and he thinks it may be the connection after the brake caliper and the part that goes into the rear diff. I haven't torn it apart yet due to work until this weekend but looking for other suggestions to search for when I dive into it. Any help would be appreciated

Temp light on

I have 05 660 rhino I bought used. All is stock other than previous owner installed digital dash. He gave me original panel with two blue relays and temp sensor. Recently temp light started acting funny and is now on all the time. I can start machine cold and light is on. I don't know if the right sensor is installed but assume it is since light worked fine for two years. I have read part numbers on here but numbers on sensor don't match either. I think I have right one installed that has failed but not sure. Any advise would be appreciated.

Can I fit 30" mudlites with only a 2" lift?

Got a rhino 450 and I'm seeing a lot of tires for sale in a local trading site and I'm wondering if with only a 2" lift can I fit 30" mudlites. It has no lift on it at the moment all the parts are waiting for me to get home and install which is why I haven't been able to gauge whether or not they'll fit myself. It has 28" Mudlite XTR's on it now and it has plenty of room.

660 turns over real fast no start

OK guys please point me in the right direction. Was out riding last weekend and pulled over to help a buddy who broke down. I left my rhino running. A couple minutes later my bike shutoff. I didn't think anything of it but when I went back to fire it up it was spinning over really fast and wouldn't fire. Towed it back to my shop and immediately did a compression test which came to 125lb and held pressure. I replaced the plug and checked the fuel pump. I then replaced the fuel pump per the local yamaha dealership recommendation primed it still spins over faster than normal almost as if there's no compression however I know there is. I cleaned the carb and put gas down the intake to which it fired for a second. I've got compression fuel air and spark this doesn't make any sense. Also it had to be something that could have just happened in a moment because it was running fine prior to that. Any ideas???

06 660.

i have an issue were in reverse and sometimes low it comes out of gear. i have a new shifter, i have the rod adjusted were it equally gets low and reverse. but if you put in in reverse it will engage normally till you let off then it stops moving and sounds like its in in neutral or a little grinding. it will do it every time in rev but only once in a great while in low. it seems to me the engine moves alot from side to side and i wonder if thats what causes it. it moves an inch or two side to side at least. not having another one to look at dont know if thats normal?

Aftetermarket sheave or Grizzly?

Hey guys.. I finally gave up on Rotaxing my Rhino and traded the Outlander for a pair of Grizzly 660s. Well.. 1 and 7/8ths Grizzlies.

So I have a spare motor to build on the side and a couple sheaves.

I started to do a little homework on the sheave situation and there is SO MUCH info out there that I can't make heads or tails of it any more. Some of the info is old, some is newer, in some cases there is clear evolution of technology and modification styles and basically.. I can't tell what's going on any longer.

Can anyone give me a quick heads up on what I should do??

My Rhino is pretty basic and most of my riding is slower New England trails. Bottom end is the most important with there being a fair amount of high speed transit trails. I can easily cruise at full throttle as often as I want, but my real goal is if I can cruise comfortably at 45 or so. Faster would be better.. but that's a minimum goal. Now I cruise at around 35-37 as if I go faster I feel like I am abusing the motor.

I think the only mod of significance is the larger Bighorns.

So the question is.. what's the best thing to do here? Just run the Grizz Sheave (it's.. roughly a 2002 vintage if that matters), run the Grizz sheave and then get the Rhino modded? Mod the Grizz sheave? Something else?

Thanks all.

My evo muffler sounds good but its getting really raspy sounding. I have the 2" quiet core in it. If i put a 5" quiet core 2 in and repacked the guts would that make it not as raspy
